When breeding animals, the hearts don't show up.

What I expected to happen was...:
In previous snapshots, hearts would appear above the animals when they receive their breeding food.

However, starting in 14w31a and subsequent snapshots, the hearts no longer appear. They still breed, but I cant tell which ones Ive fed.

Also, when feeding the young animals, there used to be the little green particles, like when using bonemeal on plants...but those don't appear any more either

Steps to Reproduce:
1. spawn or attract a few chickens in a pen
2. .feed them seeds to reproduce...no hearts
3. .hold down use button with seeds on young chickens...nothing

Its the same with all the farm animals that Ive tried...cow, sheep pig
