Blocks stay broken while hitting them and blocking with a sword in Survival

What happened was...:
I blocked with a sword and hit a block, and it was still broken.

What I expected to happen was...:
It wouldn't still be broken after I hit it

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go into Survival with a sword (Any kind)
2. Block with the sword and hit a block
3. It still stays broken
