I know this bug has been reported a lot (this being the third time by me), but I'm reporting it again because it still has been unresolved, and apparently unassigned too. ( https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-45489 )
In every snapshot since the start of 2014, villager spawning has been downright broken. As the attached screenshots show, some villagers are populated almost entirely by Clerics, regardless of whether or not a church is present, and other villages have only one or two professions total!
I assume that this has to do with the trading revamp earlier this year, which I do like for the most part. But in my opinion, splitting the Farmer and Blacksmith professions into several different careers wasn't a good idea. All Fletchers do is make bows and arrows, so why not give that job to the Fisherman (primitive cultures use bows and spears to fish)? And all you did with the Blacksmiths is create three variants with only a few trades that occupy space in a village for the Farmer variants to spawn. Why not re-combine them into one main Blacksmith again?
Please, rather than just deleting this and saying something snarkey, can you give me (and everyone else who cares about this bug) a clear explanation as to why this bug has been ignored, and why it even exists?
