What I expected to happen was...:
2x2 Spruce tree growth

What actually happened was...:
Grew a 2x2 Spruce Tree and then grew another one in the exact same spot. The second one grew within 5 minutes of the other (leaves were still decaying, no bonemeal used) and it grew with no leaves. (refer to picture)
I already tried re-logging in case the leaves were there by code, but weren't rendered or something like that, no dice.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place Spruce saplings in 2x2 formation to create a 2x2 tree.
2. After tree grows, cut it down.
3. Place 2x2 formation of saplings again in the exact same place
4. Wait for tree to grow
(not sure if this will work or not, it just happened to me though.)
(EDIT: Has randomly reoccurred, decaying leaves don't seem to matter)
