Game crashes while trying to change VBO Setting. Only happens if changed while connected to server. Game starts to glitch out and keeps reloading chunks infinitely. Eventually crashes.

thought my FPS would increase by turning on VBO

FPS does increase, but world loading problems
Everything starts to flash and it keeps infinitely reloading chunks. Eventually crashes.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch the game.
2. Check to make sure VBO is off
3. Join any server
4. Turn on VBO.

NOTE: ONLY HAPPENS WHILE IN SERVER. IF CHANGED WHILE IN TITLE MENU/ SINGLE PLAYER, NO PROBLEMS.
