What I expected to happen was...:
I expected to see the wolves I had tamed minutes earlier to teleport to my then current players position.
What actually happened was...:
In fact, after leaving view distance the wolves would stop and stand still, not teleporting to the player. You were forced to run back, then they would follow you. The wolves initially teleported a few times, but then stopped doing so. This bug was found in both Survival mode and creative mode. Also, newly tamed dogs may teleport about 3 times before they stop doing so.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. First, tame some wolves, then run away until the wolves are out of view.
2. Eventually, stop. You will expect the wolves to teleport to position. They will not do so.
3. Return back the way you ran, and find the dogs standing still with their heads still following your movement.
