What I expected to happen was...:
A placed comparator's orientation would be with the two parallel torches closest to the player.

What actually happened was...:
Placed comparator faces the opposite direction.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a comparator from creative UI or /give command
2. Place comparator see it is faced towards player instead of away
