Jump boost effect not working

      Hi
      I try to use command "/effect <player> 8 <time> <amplifier> "
      But It never works. Such as /effect <player> 8 10 50
      Its stays normal jump. When I press E, which opens inventory, It says I have Jump boost. But its not working.
