World Rendering Improperly

I was playing on a world with my sister (she was the host, if that makes any difference), and at random times, there were just big groups of blocks not rendering. (I could see caves, too.) I had to do F3+A, and that fixed most of it, until I came upon more patches, and did it again. Went back to some of the older areas, and they were unrendered again!
