The beans simply floated in mid-air not attached to the wood log.
After about 30-60 seconds, they pop off leaving the entity floating on the ground as the cocoa bean item.

Reproduction:
1. Place Jungle Wood Logs
2. Place Cocoa Bean On Them
3. Observe All Angles Of Bean Placement
4. Wait until they fall off
