      This bug is caused by the fact, that a placed Minecart doesn't get the correct rotation (these in the screenshot have rotation 0 0), only pushing them changes the blue line

      Like you can see in the screenshot the direction looking hitbox for minecarts is incorrect

      This is with all kinds of minecarts

      (if you ask or say that this is no bug, for boats it is working by the way)
