What I expected to happen was that the stairs would face me. What actually happened was that the stairs ended up only facing west.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Face east. Place down stairs (any kind). Stairs face you.
2. Face north. Place down stairs. Stairs face west.
3. Face west. Place down stairs. Stairs face west.
4. Face south. Place down stairs. Stairs face west.

In each picture I have attached, you will se me placing down the stairs while I take the screenshot. You see that the stairs all face west!
