Upon creating a default world in creative I noticed that, when the world had loaded, the water texture was replaced by a still image of a minecraft apple. When I placed my own source block of water down, I noticed that the flowing water texture had been replaced by a strange combination of cake and cactus textures loaded on the same image. Two screenshots are provided to show to water and its textures.
