Silverfish/cave spiders/endermites, even though they CAN fit under half-slabs, do not pathfind under them. Cave spiders just climb over the wall. Interestingly, it looks like the spiders' AI had some special handling done so that they climb walls voluntarily if no other path is available if the player is on the other side of a wall, just something I noticed.
