When I try to join my own server I get...

Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.io.IOException: Bad packet id 50

It also happens when i friend tries to join. I have tried to port my minecraft multiple also i tried to use No-Ip and Hamachi. I have tried to turn off all firewalls I have also tried to Re-Download Minecraft, Java, and the server using different worlds and ports. But no matter what i do i seem to keep getting this error even if my server is not running.
