What I expected to happen was when i picked the block, the farmland block would appear in my bar

What actually happened was the dirt side texture appeared and when placed it was the untextured texture (black and purple)

1 yesterday i had made a redstone test world and made a few contraptions, including a farmland
2 today i pick blocked the farm land block (wet farm land)
3 i had placed it down and it was black and purple, i know it is supposed to be a dirt block as when i clicked it with a hoe it changed to a farmland block
