I spawned a lot of bugs in the snapshot to test it and I locked the gamemode on Normal. I started using the /difficulty command to change the difficulty and it worked, so I decided to spawn an Endermite. When I switched the gamemode to peaceful again, the endermite didn't despawn (but all the other mobs I spawned with eggs did)
