What I expected to happen was...:

When I use /give command on sand with a data of more than 2 it will give me sand.
What actually happened was...:
Describe what happened here
When I gave myself sand with data of more than 2 it crashed my game.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Minecraft
2. Use command /give [YourName] minecraft:sand 1 3
