When dispensers are full of either eggs or snowballs they only give the player an effect of being hit but not knockback is dealt, snowballs and eggs when thrown do however and as i am not certain of the criteria for the two i don't know if it qualifies as a bug or an intended dispenser usage to prevent/restrain traps using the two for knockback in general.
