Put the summary of the bug you're having here:
While walking sideways (strafing), my 'footstep' sound effect leads off in the direction travelling and ends in the opposite ear.
What I expected to happen was...:
While strafing, the 'footstep' sound stays local to my character; in other words, I hear my footsteps in both ears simultaneously.
What actually happened was...:
While strafing, footstep sounds begin in the direction I am travelling. If I am walking on grass or gravel, the follow-up sound (foot crunching in gravel) happens in the opposite ear. So, if I am strafing left, the 'footstep' sound happens in my left ear and the 'follow-up' sound happens in my right ear.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Find some gravel or grass.
- Strafe left or right and observe the sound of you walking.
- Walk forward or backwards and the 'walking sound' sounds normal.
Observations:
This problem appeared to have started in snapshot 14w06b, I cannot reproduce the problem in snapshot 14w05b.
