While I was playing survival using the latest snapshot, I entered the nether portal in the overworld. When I entered the nether there was a zombie and he had killed me. Then when I clicked on the respawn button it didn't work, so I exit to the main menu. When I loaded my world from there, my player was in the overworld near the portal (not dead) and I could see my stuff from death near the portal, but my player already had them in his inventory.
