First of all, OZ told me to report this on Twitter,

"@TornadicGames Please report it, we just can't help without reproducing first: http://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/409117-where-can-i-view-or-submit-bugs- … ^OZ"

My problem: Whenever using a 1.7 client and attempting to break a block that uses the glass breaking sound, the client freezes and becomes unresponsive, however, it doesn't crash. This happens in both Single Player modes and Online. I do also believe the same thing happens when using splash potions.

When breaking glass, you don't expect the game to freeze. It becomes totally unresponsive and no matter how long you leave it in its frozen state, the game doesn't crash so doesn't leave a crash report.

I have taken the following steps already to try and rectify this problem:

      • Updated Java
      • Re installed Minecraft after deleting all Minecraft files
      • Allocated more memory

The only solution I have found so far is to reduce the "Block" sound settings to 0%. When this is done, the game doesn't freeze when breaking glass, leading me to believe it's an issue with the sound file.

As stated above, the game doesn't crash in a way that gives a crash report so I can't upload one. I've also read that I need to include a list on how to reproduce the situation, well, it's rather simple for me:

      • Load any 1.7 client
      • Place Glass/Ice/Glowstone/Redstone Lamp
      • Break Glass/Ice/Glowstone/Redstone Lamp
        or
        -Throw a splash potion.

If there is any further information you require, please do contact me. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible
