My minecraft freaks out when I select lava/water when it is not in a bucket.

      I am in a server whenever I get water or lava not in a bucket. My graphics freak out and everything goes invisible except for some dots on each block.

      To recreate
      Step 1: Put water or lava not in a bucket on your hotbar.
      Step 2: Scroll on to water/lava.
