OP put in command: /scoreboard teams join RedTeam ********,*********** (The *'s being the characters os someones ingame name) Everyone was kicked from the server with the message: io.netty.hadnler.codec.DecoderException: java.IOException: The received string length is longer than maximum allowed (23 > 16) And we get the exact same message when trying to re-join the server.
String Prefix and Suffix need to be under 16 characters long including added color coding.
in the Scoreboard.dat file, find the team name that has longer than 16 total characters in the prefix suffix and reduce the characters.
See the NBTexplorer screenshot (prefix.png) for an example.
