This is a very strange bug that appears whenever you hold a piece of wool in F5 mode. It appears in both creative and survival and works for any wool color. It does not affect gameplay, it is just a graphics bug.

I couldn't find this in any other bug report, so I am pretty sure this is the first time this bug has been reported.
