When joining any server, after a moment I see a flash of all the textures of the terrain, but then everything turns black. Can still see the sky. Hostile mobs are blacked out, passive mobs and other players can be seen clearly.

I can leave the server and see the same issue on single player, but after forcing a reload (changing video settings or f3+a) the textures return. But after rejoining the server it rebugs. Sometimes I can play for a couple minutes after joining a server before it crashes, sometimes just a moment. Really frustrating
