      How to reproduce:

      1. Place a hanging sign with a solid block directly underneath it
      2. Throw an ender pearl to teleport into the hanging sign and start crawling

      Expected result:

      There would be no Z-fighting.

      Observed result:

      There would is Z-fighting.
