In Creative mode, if you use the mouse to select an item to move the item to the mouse, and instead of placing the item in the backpack or inventory, you can simply close the backpack and switch to survival mode, then the item will stay on the mouse, and if you place the mouse on the backpack or inventory, the item will disappear directly.
