Pixels not lining up between full blocks and non-full blocks

The textures of blocks do not line up with the models of non-full blocks such as the grindstone, walls, fences, levers, piston heads, flower pots, decorated pots, cauldrons, buttons, etc. leading to times when you can see parts of a texture that should be obscured entirely through the seam between the two blocks which should not happen ever.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Download and use the attached texture pack:
        block misalignment test.zip
      2. Place down a glowstone block, with a cobblestone wall above it
      3. Look closely at where the glowstone and cobblestone blocks meet
      4. Replace the wall with different non-solid blocks

This issue can also be observed without a resource pack by simply placing a non-solid block (like a flower pot, or button) on top of or next to a full block, and observing where the two meet.

      Observed & Expected:

Where the wall and glowstone meet, there is a visible line where you can see the glowstone which should be occluded by the wall (because it is on top of it). It is expected that you could not see any bit of the glowstone which is covered by the wall.
