No in game audio when playing Minecraft java versions above 1.20.1.

What I expected to happen was...:
Hear audio while playing game.

What actually happened was...:
No in game audio when playing version 1.21.1.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load Minecraft 1.21.1
2. Launch game.
3. Game has no sound. All other apps have sound. Audio is turned up for game in both windows and the game settings.

4. Work around found. If I load up version 1.20.1 audio works fine. If I leave that game open,  and then load 1.21.1, the sound will work.

5. My son has same issue on his PC. No sound for 1.21.1.

6. Searched forums. Found several users all having same issue with no in game audio when playing version 1.21.1.
