Statistics
Using shears on an entity to perform an action such as; removing armor, shearing wool, or removing mushrooms will not increase the Times Used statistic for shear items despite the player successfully using the item for its intended purpose.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a new world (for clean stats)
- Summon/Spawn one of the following:
- Sheep
- Wolf with wolf armor
- Snow golem
- Bogged
- Mooshroom cow
- Use shear items on the entity
→ Check statistics, observe results - (in survival) break a leaf block with shears
→ Check statistics, observe results
Observed Behavior:
In the first case, the Times Used statistics for shears will not increase, despite the player successfully using shears for their intended purpose. In the second case, the statistic will actually increase after breaking a block.
Expected Result:
The current behavior only considers blocks being broken by shears as proper item usages, when shears are foremost an item to shear sheep (primarily sheep, among other entities as well). The statistic should increase for any intended usage of the item.

Notes:
- While some cases could possibly be argued to not be proper usages (such as snow golems, or bogged), it is especially strange that shearing sheep does not increase the statistic at all when this is the direct purpose of shears.
