When you throw a pearl into a stasis chamber, switch dimensions, exit the the world, relog and then have the pearl collide without having been to the dimension that the pearl is in, it will not teleport the player.
In the attached world file is a setup that automatically triggers the collision with a delay after relogging in singleplayer
If you freeze the game right after logging in while still in the nether, go back to the overworld and back to the nether, then unfreeze, the teleportation works
