For the past few updates and I'm not certain why, but directional audio is completely and utterly bugged. Depending on where your player character is facing affects how loud or quiet a sound is. One of the best ways to test this is via the jukebox where no matter how far you go, if you face the block, the audio will play at full volume. If you are right next to it but are looking in the opposite direction, it'll be quiet.
I cannot find a way to fix this and it has been driving me absolutely mad.
