Hello!
I for some reason am cursed with MC-266654 at about an 80% occurrence rate.
That is, about 80% of the time, when starting the launcher, Realms fails to validate.
This results in me having to restart the launcher or restart the game on average 5 times before I randomly get a game that has a valid session ID (I guess).
I am using 1.20.4 as the specific game version, but it does not matter. This shows up directly in the launcher itself. Whenever I open the launcher, it shows the Realms server, and that also fails about 80% of the time.
I am running Windows Defender, but I have not seen anything pop up, and it works 20% of the time, so it seems unlikely to me to be related to that, but can poke at those logs if need be.
My ISP is Comcast Business, but I have no issues running Steam or other game providers, just Minecraft. To reiterate, I have had no issues playing other online games, or connecting to servers via SSH or whatnot, it has only been Minecraft that I've consistently had problems connecting.
I tried setting "Use beta launcher" but it made no difference -> the launcher still failed to connect to Realms.
Steps to Reproduce:
Repro 1:
1. Open Launcher
2. Go to Realms tab for Java
3. Realms fails to connect (displays toast but no usable information
Repro 2
1. Open Launcher
2. Open Java 1.20.4 MC
3. Go to Realms
4. Realms fails with error message 'Invalid session id'
Observed Results:
the logs show some type of error: Service unavailable, the request is blocked, with error 20240607T231141Z-17f5875f8b8hf9kvtxrw5ffr6g00000000xg000000018rcc
I should have other logs from failed attempts, but attached one to the ticket.
Expected Results:
Repro 1:
1. Open Launcher
2. Go to Realms tab for Java
3. Realms shows the status of the server
Repro 2
1. Open Launcher
2. Open Java 1.20.4 MC
3. Go to Realms
4. Realms shows the status of the server and connects successfully.
