When you have an item that is enchanted in your inventory, hot bar, armor slots, etc. it appears unenchanted. It appears enchanted if you drop the item by pressing Q, but in the inventory it appears visually as if no enchantments were applied.

As you can see in the video attached there are no resource packs, no Programmer Art texture packs, and no High Contrast texture packs, just the default resource pack minecraft provides.

No mods are being used either.
