gravity blocks do not spawn in end

What I expected to happen was...:
When placing a block effected by gravity, like the enderdragon egg, above the OVERWORLD-end-portal, It should teleport onto the end platform, this works in previous versions like 1.20.4

What actually happened was...:
But now, It seems to disappear.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Activate end portal in the overworld
2. Place any block effected by gravity above it, to let it fall in,
3. Enter the end portal,
