There are left over pixels in the UV texture map for the elder guardian, which were seemingly used for a previous palette when making the texture. These pixels go "unused" in the sense that they are unrelated to the texture and were likely not intentional, but (despite the fact that they normally aren't visibile in game) can still be seen under certain circumstances.
