steps:

1: get  mace in main hand and a trident with riptide in your offhand

2: use the riptide enchantement to fly

3: when you are falling, aim with the trident on your offhand into the entity/player you want to hurt

4: when you are close enough, release the trident without attacking with the mace (only press right click, no left)

the damage will count as the mace, even if you are attacking with the trident
