Even if the attack speed isn't fully charged yet, you can do a lot of damage if you fall down. This means that when you fall down you can simply left click spam without having to worry about not hitting the opponent and almost all mobs would die anyway.

I thought the extended damage from falling with the Mace would simply be canceled if you spam

1: Spawn a villager.

2: Go a 30 blocks up.

3: Drop down and spam your attack button.
