I would say slightly more of a needed QoL change than a bug but if you're using a farm that needs nether portals it is unable to be used whilst a player is in the nether, as the mobs despawn. Adding a fix to this would allow more farms to be used more effectively in multiplayer worlds.
A simple way to replicate this is to:

      • Open a multiplayer server (LAN or not, makes no difference)
      • Create a farm that uses nether portals to transport entities, such as a guardian farm.
      • Place a player >128 blocks away from the farm
      • Try using the farm
      • If done correctly, the farm should NOT work. If the player is too close to the farm it will run as normal
      • The farm should run as normal no matter what, as this makes using more advanced farms on multiplayer easier.
