The bug
In snapshot 17w16a, the first three mouse buttons were given proper names, changing them from "Button 1", "Button 2" and "Button 3" to "Left Click", "Right Click" and "Middle Click", respectively. 1.13 changed these to "Left Button", "Right Button" and "Middle Button".
Despite this, the fourth and fifth mouse buttons still retain the generic names of "Button 4" and "Button 5", respectively.
In all major operating systems and browsers, the fourth button is used as a back button and the fifth button as a forward button, with only the sixth button and above not having standard functionality.
How to reproduce
- Have a mouse with at least four buttons
- Bind a control to the fourth and/or fifth button
Expected results
The fourth and fifth mouse buttons would have proper names (e.g. Back Button, Forward Button)
Actual results
The generic names "Button 4" and "Button 5" are used instead.
