I used the version 1.18.2, but I think it is the case with most new minecraft versions.

The new minecraft launcher uses the following java executable:

      C:\XboxGames\Minecraft Launcher\Content

However, mod loaders when used with mods still use the old java.exe instead. When trying to load a singleplayer world (local server) or minecraft server, the normal minecraft loads fine, but when trying any mods with fabric, forge or any other mod loader, minecraft crashes when trying to load the singleplayer world or server. You can still join servers which use the java.exe with mods though.
