/scoreboard players reset doesn't do anything

What I expected to happen was for the score of the specified player for the specified objective to be cleared

What actually happened was nothing

Steps to reproduce
1. open a world in the snapshot 23w46a
2. create a scoreboard objective
3. set a score for a player on that objective
4. try to reset it using "/scoreboard players reset <player> <objective>"
5. nothing happens to the actual scoreboard even though there's a message in chat
