Server sent an invalid packet

      I run a fully vanilla minecraft server with 0 addons or plugins, and whenever someone sends a message in chat, a few people that play on the server (it has a playerbase of around 20 players) get kicked with the reason "Server sent an invalid packet". I have no idea why this is happening, the server console logs don't tell me anything either.
