Hello, I am having a very specific issue regarding the minecarts after 1.20.2. I had a working minecart system in a survival world but suddenly it stopped working at one specific point after the 1.20.2 Java update. I have checked that this issue is persistent in multiple worlds and in both creative and survival, so it is not just specific to my one survival world that I mostly play one.

I'll try to describe the issue in words but you may just need to look at the pictures. When the minecart needs to turn to the left, but there is a staircase to the right of the first rail that goes up, even if it is powered, then the minecart will get stuck, BUT only if the left turn faces west. This issue only exists in one orientation and works if the left turn faces north, south, and east. When I remove the stairs to the right of the powered rail going up, then the minecart works as intended. The pictures attached shows the structure I made in order to replicate the issue. Note the orientation of the structure.

I had a rail going downwards in a spiral into a cave, but then after this update, I couldn't get back up!

I apologize that this issue is weirdly specific.

I'm using Windows 10, Java Edition. I am not using any mods.
