I was playing some Minecraft earlier on a Windows 10 MSI laptop, before physically closing the computer while it was on the menu screen (or possibly still loaded into a world, just in the ESC menu). When I turn the computer back on, and try to boot up Minecraft, the launcher window first appears as a gray box (like how it does when it's first loading in all the assets) before closing a few seconds later. Opening it again shows a small window stating "This game is already running. If you just quit the game, it should be ready to launch again in a moment." The error code given is (0x87e50038). I opened task manager to see the launcher was open in task manager. Expanding it showed that the application for Minecraft was also running. Ending the task quick the Minecraft app immediately, but it took a second for the launcher to close.
There was a video online for this specific error code, and all the solutions either did not work or weren't applicable, as I did not get this game through the Microsoft or Xbox store, but through Minecraft.net itself. The only remaining solution would be to uninstall or reset the game.
Occasionally, when I search for Minecraft in the search bar and run as administrator, it will state "The game has crashed" and give the error code (0x1)
I have restarted my computer, repaired the game through windows, deleted the local cache, even copy pasted some code from that video earlier into PowerShell (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A0HdR-FY-8&t=540s)
I do not know what else to do beyond resetting and/or uninstalling. And if that is the ultimate solution, help me at least preserve a copy of the world data.
