Some sticky pistons inexplicably stopped pulling some honey blocks. However, if I replicate the setup, it seems to work fine.
Here is generally what should happen. The piston pushes and pulls the honey block and the stone brick block.

What is actually happening is the pistons are being activated properly, but they aren't pulling the honey blocks even though they are in reach. Also, the pistons worked fine for awhile until I noticed they had abruptly stopped pulling the honey blocks back.

The other redstone involving the observer isn't relevant, it's just how the pistons are originally supposed to activate. As seen with the lever on the dirt, the problem doesn't appear to be how the pistons activate.
Update:
I was looking more into it and the issue seems to persist with more than just honey blocks. Certain redstone blocks in the same build that are pushed and pulled by sticky pistons, weren't being pulled back into place. Also, while trying to replicate the honey block bug, sometimes the pistons would meet a honey block and not be able to push it at all, almost as if its obsidian or something.

instance of a honey block being completely unmovable. You can view the WAILA (What Am I Looking At) at the top of the screen to prove its not a block of obsidian with a texture pack or something.
