Using an ender pearl will not always return the same results on a wall, even if you pearled from the same location, you will sometimes be placed further than the block and sometimes you will be right up to it.
This seems to only happen at certain angles, the one I used in the MP4 below is here, just place the wall in the correct spot and the observed behavior in the video will occur ingame:
/execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s 17.11 -60.00 52.01 -0.00 -0.65
(it's not super specific and happens in alot of spots aswell, it's just a random spot I picked and pressed F3+C, some other positions the behavior will either consistently be far from the wall or right next to the wall)
Expected Behavior:
You are placed right next to the block you pearled to
Observed Behavior:
You are sometimes offset from the location you pearled to
Steps:
1. F3+C to save a location next to a wall
2. Pearl a couple times
Conclusion:
The results are not fixed, and you're sometimes further from the wall than expected
