Command issue: I have tried multiple times in every possible way I could think of to get this command to edit the closest entity including adding ( /execute at @s run ), ( [distance=5] ), or ([limit=1]) but no matter how hard I try it only selects a completely random entity that I want nothing to do with:
( /data merge entity @e[limit=1,type=!minecraft:player]
{Owner:[I;1238799555,1936804115,-1356036548,-1644740097],Sitting:1b})
I then went into only vanilla cause I thought a mod was the issue messing it up.(didn't work)
I tried a vanilla server from Aternos . (didn't work)
I believe that your 'Distance' or 'limit' parameters are not working properly and selecting and are selecting entities improperly, and I request that you fix them please.
I couldn't find anyone who could help me so if it's just me filling out the command wrong could you send me a message with a solution to my errors.
Hopefully this isn't just wasting both our time.
