The chime note block sound produces a very strong overtone when playing a compound 3rd. The overtone is one semitone above the highest note of the interval.

      To Reproduce:

      1. Connect two noteblocks together using redstone dust
      2. Set one noteblock to G3 (note 1), and the other to B4 (note 17)
      3. Power the redstone

In this example, the note C5 (note 18) can be heard, arguably louder than B4. To prove this, you can set up another noteblock, separate from the others, set to C5, and play that noteblock after hearing the G3 and B4 noteblocks play together.
